Portraits of 42 distinguished newspaper editors hang in the North Dakota Newspaper Hall of located on the second floor of O'Kelly Hall. The portraits are of deceased persons who, during their lifetime, made substantial contributions to North Dakota journalism.

North Dakota Medical Center
The Medical Center, created by an act of the Legislature of the State of North Dakota in 1945, is an administrative unit of the University. Its purpose is to provide facilities for the "coordination, improvement, expansion, and unification of health and welfare activities of the state, its agencies, its political subdivisions and its private practitioners." The Center is "concerned with the training of physicians, nurses and all other personnel concerned with the improvement and preservation of the health of the people of North Dakota." The Medical Center includes the School of Medicine and Health Science and the USDA Human Nutrition Research Center.

North Dakota Vision Services/ School for the Blind
North Dakota Vision Services/School for the Blind is under the Department of Public Instruction and is a statewide comprehensive resource center that works cooperatively with related agencies in providing a full range of services to all persons who are blind or visually impaired, including those with multiple disabilities. They also proved evaluations, consultations, and instruction in specific vision related areas such as orientation and mobility, braille, braille music, daily living skills, technology, vocational/career, recreation/leisure, and functional vision.
The Vision Resource Center includes adaptive materials and services for the visually impaired such as the Talking Book Machine Lending Agency, Braille Access Center, large print and braille textbook depository, descriptive videos, a professional and consumer library, access to information, a toll-free number, and a store.
Short term programs include Specific Skills, Compensatory Skills, Post Secondary, and Summer Adventure. Inservices training is provided to teachers, paraprofessionals, and parents. Additionally, an adult center is available to help with adaptive skill training and evaluation. Carmen Grove Suminski is the superintendent.
