University Relations is the strategic public relations, communications, and marketing unit of the university. Working in partnership with members of the university community, the Office of University Relations builds public understanding of, and support for, the University of North Dakota.

University Relations brings public relations perspectives and strategies into university decision-making and planning.

Operationally, University Relations promotes UND as a leading national research resource due in large part to faculty research and scholarship; provides news, information, and publications for faculty and the general public by assisting with University-wide publicity and responses to the media; and provides consultations and assistance for communications and marketing efforts and special events across the campus.
